Run Update!

Hi Guys,

For those of you who've been following you've watched me progress from measly 3 mile runs to stellar 15 mile runs! Last Saturday I ran 15 1/2 miles along the beautiful downtown Portland waterfront with my fellow TNTers...

I'm getting speedy! I've not only stepped up the distance over the course of this training season, I've also stepped up the pace! I'm running an 8:50 mile! :-)

Running has definitely become the center of my thoughts. Mid week runs average about seven miles bringing me in at about 30 miles a week! I know, you think I'm crazy, right?!

I've had the chance to meet some remarkable people this season. People fighting Leukemia, fighting for loved ones or even running in memory of lost loved ones. I have also made friends for life and we're still only half way through the season!

So far I have run a total of 168 training miles and I'm about to add another 15 to that tomorrow morning. I've never felt better!

So now the fundraising begins. My goal is $5,000 by October 17th...race day!

If you haven't already, please visit www.ChelseaCarlsson.com to donate and help support me as I run to find a cure for leukemia and lymphoma!

12 Mile P.R.

Well the runs just keep getting longer and I just keep getting faster! We're rising even earlier these days to beat the heat and SO thankful for the sunshine! Beats running in misty, foggy, overcast weather. So we started the 12 mile run this morning at 7:30 am and Catherine and I led the pack! We finished in 1:51:13 and ran at a 9:08 pace, which is pretty fast for us newbies. I'm looking forward to continuing to increase speed and distance and feel SO ready for this marathon! I can't wait to run it. I'm also thankful for my health; I've been injury free so far! Gorgeous weather + a great running buddy + perfect health = successful run! Thanks for all your support as the fundraising portion of this goal commences!

And now I can say I've run 12 miles! What an accomplishment in itself!

Up to 10 miles

Saturday morning I completed a 10 mile run with TNT. Catherine and I have become very good friends running and without her, I couldn't make it through them! So far I have run 85 1/2 miles in training...

Here's to the next 85!
